Ladies Team Performances
LADIES SPRING OPEN AT LEYLAND GOLF CLUB.
The Charnock Richards Ladies team, of Ruth Harrison, Christine Stansfield, Hilary Powell (Lady Vice Captain) and Karen Martland (Lady Captain) won the Spring Open at Leyland Golf Club on 28th May.
The format was strokeplay with three scores out of four to count, and therefore quite a tough competition. The team all play well, but especially on the back nine and finished 7 under par with a total of 209, and being the first team out on the day, was a nail biting finish with the 210 coming in later in the day.

The Charnock Richards Ladies team of Hilary Powell (Lady Vice Captain), Christine Stansfield, Janet Breed and Stephanie Bentham won the best visitors prize at Ashton & Lea Golf Club on 4th June, with a respectable Stabelford score of 79, only 4 points away from the overall winners.
